FEMA Flood Mapping

Brailey Hydrologic provides FEMA-compliant floodplain mapping, flood hazard assessments, and supporting hydrologic and hydraulic analyses throughout Alaska.

 

Services include preparation of Letters of Map Amendment (LOMA), Letters of Map Revision (LOMR), and Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) updates. Work is conducted by a Professional Engineer and Certified Floodplain Manager, ensuring compliance with FEMA and NFIP requirements.

Flood Hazard Assessments

Our flood hazard assessment services can include detailed HEC-RAS and HEC-HMS modeling, base flood elevation determination, floodway analysis, and detailed review of site-specific conditions relative to mapped flood hazards. 

 

Brailey Hydrologic integrates high-resolution terrain data, field reconnaissance, and validated hydrologic methods to produce defensible flood hazard evaluations for permitting, land development, infrastructure planning, property reclassification and erosion protection solutions.
